Why Classic Bamboo Fly Rods?
At Classic Bamboo Fly Rods and Fly Fishing we do two things. We build bamboo fly rods and we teach fly fishing.
The rods we build are from the early masters of rod building. We use the classic tapers from master rod builders such as Garrison, Payne, Hardy and Thomas. Bamboo rods handle and fish like no other. All modern materials such a fiberglass and graphite try hard to emulate bamboo but cannot come close to the feel of a real bamboo fly rod. The beauty of a finely built bamboo rod speaks for itself.
We also teach fly fishing to beginners and those that want to learn how to fish not just catch fish. We specialize in teaching young people, parents and children as well as individuals. We teach proper casting techniques, knots, bugs, reading water, rod and line setups as well as proper fly presentation.
